This inorganic terrazzo uses white Portland cement as its base, embedded with red and black natural marble chips measuring one to three centimeters. A small number of white mineral grains are also added as accents, sparsely scattered among the red and black chips.

Visually, the red and black create a fairly strong contrast against the white base. The red chips read warm, while the black ones read heavy. The two colors are interspersed without a fixed pattern, yet the even density during casting keeps the surface from looking messy. The few white mineral grains, finer than the main aggregate, are nestled between the red and black, providing a degree of transition that softens the contrast. Crushed natural marble leaves each piece with a different outline: some edges worn smooth, others still holding sharp angles from quarrying, with natural stone veining visible on the surface. Cement paste fills all voids solidly. After grinding and polishing, the slab is a flat plane, with aggregate and cement base sitting at the same height, smooth underfoot without noticeable unevenness, feeling hard and cool to the touch.

As an inorganic terrazzo bound by cement, the finished product is dense and heavy in the hand. Once set, the cement is hard, with good compression and wear resistance, suitable for high-traffic areas such as living rooms, corridors, and shopping malls. However, cement naturally has capillary pores. Without crystallization sealing, liquids can penetrate and leave stains. Therefore, crystallization treatment is required after installation, followed by periodic waxing to maintain surface sheen and stain resistance. Daily cleaning requires only a damp mop; no elaborate procedures are needed.

The palette of a white base with red and black chips and white accents is clean and layered. At home, it works for living room and dining room floors, as well as kitchen countertops and bathroom walls. In commercial spaces such as showrooms, retail stores, cafés, and studios, it reads modern and design-conscious. Large slabs can be cut to site dimensions, minimizing joints. Once laid and properly maintained, it is ready for normal use.
