ADE-23 Yanzhired

This inorganic terrazzo uses red cement as its base, mixed with white and gray natural mineral chips measuring 0.5 to 1 cm. These fine-grade aggregates are densely scattered across the red base, like gray and white dots woven into red fabric.

Because they are mineral chips rather than marble, the surface shows no obvious natural veining, but each stone has a rougher texture. The white chips read bright, the gray ones dark, interlaced without a fixed pattern. Yet the uniform size and even density keep the surface from looking messy. Cement paste fills the gaps completely. After grinding and polishing, all aggregate and cement sit on the same plane, with no height difference underfoot. The touch is hard and cool, characteristic of cement.

Bound by Portland cement, the finished slab is dense and heavy. Once set, it is harder than resin-based organic terrazzo, with stronger compression and wear resistance, suitable for high-traffic areas like living rooms, corridors, shopping malls, and offices. However, cement naturally has capillary pores. Without crystallization sealing, water and oil stains can penetrate and leave marks. Therefore, crystallization treatment is mandatory after installation, followed by periodic waxing to maintain luster and stain resistance. Daily cleaning requires only a damp mop.

The red base with white and gray chips is vivid without being glaring, as the chips dilute the intensity of the red. It works for living room and dining room floors at home, bringing warmth and energy. In commercial spaces such as themed restaurants, showrooms, retail stores, and cultural venues, it is eye-catching and memorable. Large slabs can be cut to site dimensions, minimizing joints.
