MO-23 G2gray

This inorganic terrazzo uses gray Portland cement as its binder, with a neutral gray base. The surface is densely embedded with natural mineral chips measuring 0.5 to 1 cm in white and gray, arranged in an alternating pattern at high density.

Since the aggregate and base share the same gray-white color family, the slab presents a restrained, monochromatic appearance. The 0.5–1 cm chips are fine-grade aggregates. Crushed directly from natural minerals without further processing, their surfaces are rougher and more honest than polished marble, retaining the natural forms of fracture—some edges blunt and rounded, others still sharp. The white chips brighten select areas against the gray base, while the gray chips blend naturally into the background. Their dense interlacing creates a fine, dotted texture across the surface. Cement paste fully fills the gaps between chips. After grinding and polishing, the aggregate sits flush with the cement base, leaving the surface flat and compact, free of noticeable depressions or protrusions.

As a cement-based product, the finished slab is dense and heavy, with hardness and compressive strength exceeding those of resin-based organic terrazzo. It withstands heavy foot traffic in living rooms, corridors, and commercial spaces. However, cement inherently contains capillary pores. After installation, the surface must undergo crystallization sealing to improve stain resistance, followed by periodic waxing to maintain its finish. Daily cleaning requires only a damp mop.

The gray-dominant surface, densely scattered with white and gray chips, reads steady and understated, never competing for attention within a space. In homes, it suits living room and dining room floors, as well as kitchen countertops. Commercially, it is appropriate for offices, showrooms, and retail stores. Large slabs can be cut to required dimensions on site, minimizing joints. After sealing, the surface is ready for normal use.

Overall, this is a unified gray-tone inorganic terrazzo with a solid texture. The natural mineral chips create subtle surface variation, making it suitable for projects that seek a low-key texture and require durable flooring. Proper maintenance is essential to preserving its long-term appearance.
