MO-30 Wuligray

This terrazzo uses gray-brown cement as its base, a heavy tone like soil soaked by rain at the foot of an old city wall, or weathered masonry, carrying a hint of warmth in its darkness. The surface is almost fully covered with gray natural marble fragments ranging from 1 to 5 cm, packed densely, with only narrow gray-brown seams showing between the pieces.

Because the base and aggregate share the same gray color family at different depths, the entire slab reads from a distance as a single piece of natural rock, its boundaries blurred and its tone unified. Only up close can you distinguish the cement base from the gray marble fragments. Small 1 cm fragments nest around larger 5 cm pieces, acting as filler and leaving the surface full and tight. Crushed directly from natural stone, the fragments retain their original edges: some are worn smooth from impact, while others still hold sharp, fractured corners. Natural stone veining is visible on the surface, with subtle color shifts from light to dark gray. Cement paste fills all voids. After grinding and polishing, the slab is flat, with aggregate and cement sitting level, smooth underfoot without unevenness.

It is an inorganic, cement-based terrazzo. Once set, the cement structure is dense and heavy, noticeably weightier than resin-based boards in the hand. The hardness and compressive strength are adequate for high-traffic areas such as living rooms, corridors, and shopping malls. However, cement naturally has capillary pores. Without crystallization sealing, water and oil stains can penetrate and leave permanent marks. Therefore, crystallization treatment is mandatory after installation to seal the surface pores, followed by periodic waxing to maintain sheen. Daily cleaning requires only a damp mop.

The palette of a gray-brown base with large gray fragments is steady and understated, matching various decorative styles. At home, it works for living room and dining room floors, as well as kitchen countertops. In commercial spaces such as showrooms, offices, retail stores, and clubs, it reads grand and textured. Large slabs can be cut to site dimensions, minimizing joints. Once laid and properly maintained, it is ready for normal use.
