The cement is tinted to an orange-red, like fired clay or brick dust, serving as the base of the entire terrazzo slab. Embedded within are red and white natural mineral chips, each about 1 to 3 cm, interspersed without an obvious pattern, yet evenly enough that the surface does not look messy.

The red chips sit within the same warm family as the orange-red base, creating shifts in depth; the white chips stand out more, reading bright against the warm-toned surface. Unlike marble, these mineral chips carry no ornate veining, their surfaces rougher and more honest, with edges retaining irregular shapes from natural crushing—some rounded, others angular. Cement paste fills the gaps solidly, and after grinding, the surface is a flat plane with chips and cement sitting level.

It is an inorganic, cement-based terrazzo. Once set, the slab is dense and heavy in the hand, with hardness and compressive strength exceeding resin-based alternatives, suitable for high-traffic areas. However, cement naturally has pores. Without crystallization sealing, water and oil stains can penetrate and leave marks. Therefore, crystallization treatment is mandatory after installation, followed by periodic waxing. Daily cleaning is simple—just wipe with a damp mop.

The palette of an orange-red base with red and white chips is warm, even carrying an earthy quality. At home, it works for living room and dining room floors, bringing warmth to the space. In commercial settings such as themed restaurants, bakeries, showrooms, and folk-style venues, it creates strong atmosphere—the color is eye-catching without being glaring. Large slabs can be cut to site dimensions, minimizing joints, and are ready for use after proper maintenance.
