ADE-06 Jadegreen

This is an inorganic, cement-based terrazzo with a green base and green aggregate. The cement binder is tinted to a soft green tone, evenly embedded with natural green marble chips measuring 0.5 to 1 cm. Because the base and aggregate share the same color family, the slab reads as a unified green field from a distance; only up close can you see the granular texture and natural veining of the chips.

At 0.5 to 1 cm, these are fine-grade aggregates, small and evenly distributed. Crushed natural marble retains irregular shapes—some rounded, others angular—with color varying subtly from grass green to deep green. These tiny green chips are densely set within the green cement, forming a fine, dotted texture that leaves the surface full and solid. The cement binder fills the gaps tightly; after grinding, the surface is a flat plane with aggregate and cement sitting nearly level, feeling solid underfoot.

As an inorganic terrazzo, it uses ordinary Portland cement as the binder rather than resin. Cement-based slabs are denser and harder than organic terrazzo, offering good compression resistance and wear performance, suitable for high-traffic areas. However, cement has capillary pores, so the finished surface requires sealing treatment—such as crystallization or waxing—to effectively prevent liquid penetration and stain adhesion. Daily cleaning is handled with a damp mop; with proper maintenance, the floor can retain its polish for many years.

This green tone reads natural. In homes, it works for balconies, living rooms, and bathroom walls, bringing a sense of relaxation. In commercial spaces such as plant-themed cafés, flower shops, and horticultural showrooms, it creates an atmosphere close to nature. Large slabs can be cut to site dimensions, minimizing joints and creating strong visual continuity over large areas.

During installation, inorganic terrazzo typically benefits from crystallization or periodic waxing after laying to improve surface density and sheen. Treated floors are more stain-resistant, easier to maintain, and have a longer service life.
