Cement-based slabs are denser and harder than organic terrazzo, offering good compression resistance and wear performance, suitable for high-traffic areas. However, cement has capillary pores, so the finished surface requires sealing treatment—such as crystallization or waxing—to effectively prevent liquid penetration and stain adhesion. Daily cleaning is handled with a damp mop; with proper maintenance, the floor can retain its polish for many years.

The pairing of a red base with white and yellow chips is fairly vivid. It suits open spaces such as living rooms and dining rooms, bringing warmth and energy to a room. In commercial settings—theme restaurants, showrooms, and retail stores—it creates a warm, eye-catching atmosphere. Large slabs can be cut to site dimensions, minimizing joints and creating strong visual continuity over large areas.

During installation, inorganic terrazzo typically benefits from crystallization or periodic waxing after laying to improve surface density and sheen. Treated floors are more stain-resistant, easier to maintain, and have a longer service life.
