MA-41 Valengray

This gray-toned resin terrazzo has white natural marble chips evenly embedded across its surface, mostly measuring between 1 and 3 cm. The gray base is neutral—neither cool nor warm—while the white aggregate scattered on top looks like crushed salt fallen on gray paper, clean and restrained.

The chips are a medium-to-fine grade, distributed fairly evenly without obvious clustering or sparseness. After crushing, each white marble piece has a slightly different shape: some are nearly oval, while others still retain sharp edges from cutting. Once set into the gray resin, each maintains its natural outline. Because the chip size is moderate, the surface has strong overall cohesion and does not look messy from any single piece standing out. The resin fills the gaps between chips densely; after grinding and polishing, aggregate and binder sit on the same plane, leaving the surface smooth with no height difference. Daily walking will not snag shoes, and the touch is smooth.

It is an organic terrazzo formed by casting with eco-friendly resin, without the roughness of cement. The resin’s fineness gives the gray base a uniform, steady appearance that does not mottle. The finished product has low water absorption, so liquids do not penetrate easily. Daily tea stains or footprints can be wiped away with a damp mop or cloth; waxing or special maintenance is unnecessary. The resin itself has some flexibility, so edges are unlikely to chip during transport and installation, and cracking is rare after laying. The durability is sufficient for ordinary homes or general commercial spaces. The gray base is more dirt-resistant than light colors, so everyday dust is not very noticeable; regular cleaning keeps it looking fresh.

This gray-and-white pairing is quite versatile. It works for living room and dining room floors, as well as kitchen countertops and bathroom walls. In commercial spaces—offices, cafés, showrooms, and retail stores—it is equally suitable as flooring. The neutral tone sets off furniture and displays without stealing the show. Large slabs can be cut to site dimensions, minimizing joints. After laying, no special maintenance is needed; it is ready for use once cleaned.
